SetJoist covers the full lifecycle of a residential construction project โ€” from the first lead call to the final payment. Here’s what’s included at launch.

Estimating and invoicing

Build professional estimates with categorized line items, configurable markup, and labor rates. Send branded PDF proposals. Clients approve online with a digital signature. When the estimate is approved, convert it to an invoice with one click. Progress billing, deposit requests, and online Stripe payments are all built in.

CRM and sales pipeline

Track every lead from first call to signed contract. A construction-specific Kanban pipeline with stages like New Lead, Contacted, Site Visit Scheduled, and Sold. Auto-reminders for stale leads so nothing falls through the cracks. Import your existing contacts from QuickBooks or a CSV.

Field app with AI voice daily logs

This is where SetJoist is genuinely different. The field app is a mobile PWA that works offline โ€” not just “offline mode,” but actually built offline-first. Your crew installs it in 60 seconds via a text link. No app store. No passwords.

The headline feature is AI-powered voice daily logs. Your crew taps record and talks naturally about the day โ€” what they did, what materials they used, any issues, weather conditions. AI automatically structures the transcript into observations, issues, recommendations, and a conditions summary. It supports multiple log types: general logs, safety walks, punch-lists, inspections, deliveries, and job-site updates.

The field app also includes GPS-verified clock-in and clock-out, break tracking, supervisor batch clock-in for entire crews, photo documentation with markup and annotations, OSHA-aligned safety checklists, incident reporting with severity levels, and structured inspection reports. Everything syncs to the office dashboard and client portal automatically.

Client portal

Every project gets a unique portal link that you share with the homeowner. They click it and see their project instantly โ€” no account creation, no password, no app download. It’s token-based access, with optional PIN protection for sensitive projects.

Clients see project progress with real photos pushed directly from the field app, upcoming milestones, document approvals with digital signatures, online payments, two-way messaging, and inspection reports. You control which sections are visible, and you can revoke the link at any time. Your company logo and accent colors make it look and feel like your own product.

Project portal for collaborators

For projects that involve architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, subcontractors, or owners, the project portal gives every stakeholder a shared workspace. Unlike the client portal, the project portal uses password-protected accounts with role-based access.

It includes a message board with RFIs, submittals, and meeting notes organized as threaded conversations. There’s a shared document library with approval and rejection workflows, a to-do list with assignees and due dates, a milestone-based schedule, and real-time chat. Each collaborator sees only the projects they’re assigned to. Available on the Crew and Company plans.

Crew management

Named crews with drag-and-drop scheduling. GPS-verified time tracking that confirms crew is on site without continuously tracking their location โ€” GPS coordinates are recorded only at clock-in and clock-out. A timesheet approval workflow lets foremen review and approve entries before they go to payroll. Time entries export to CSV for whatever payroll system you use.

Integrations

At launch, SetJoist integrates with QuickBooks for two-way contact and invoice sync, Stripe for online payments through the client portal, and Google Calendar for schedule sync. CSV import and export is available for everything. Zapier, Xero, and Slack integrations are coming soon.

Extra users $15/month.
  • Company โ€” $349/month ($279/month billed annually). 25 users included, unlimited projects, 500 GB storage.
